Counselling & Somatic Therapy in London & Online
Hi, I’m Claudia. I work with anyone over the age of 18, regardless of age, gender, sexual identity, race or religion.
Sessions are in-person in London or online throughout the UK, depending on your preference and circumstances.
The nature of the therapy I offer can be short or long term, but a minimum of 6 sessions is recommended. Sessions last 50 minutes.
My fee for each session is £65. Reduced-fee sessions are available. Please enquire if interested.
I offer an initial 15 minutes’ phone or video consultation free of charge. There is no commitment to continue beyond this.
You may have landed here looking for support. Perhaps you are experiencing pain or challenges, and the usual ways of distracting yourself are no longer working. You may not have anyone to talk to. Or, maybe, you are feeling stuck, and would like to understand why you seem to be repeating the same old unhelpful patterns, or struggling in your relationships.
If any of this resonates, you are not alone. Feeling this way is normal and more common than you’d think. The good news is, there is a way out and forward.
I know it takes courage to reach out, but you’ve already taken the most important step: being here.
I provide a safe space, where you are free to talk about your issues and get to know yourself better, so you may begin to live a more fulfilling life. I aim to support you not just to manage the issues that are currently causing you difficulties, but also to explore the emotional root cause underneath them.
This will allow you to create changes that positively affect all areas of your life, beyond what originally brought you here.
A warm and non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever is troubling you
About me
I am Claudia Varosio, a trauma-informed Counsellor and Therapist practising under the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)’s code of ethics.
I am UK-based but originally from Italy and fluent in English and Italian. I provide therapy in-person, in East London, and online, depending on your preference and circumstances.
In the past decade, I have delved into a wide range of different modalities and healing methods, guided by a deep desire to understand and know myself better. The journey I have been on has led me to connect more deeply to myself and others, as well as my body, my sexuality, and my identity as a woman. This has also shaped and informed my approach to working with others.
My intention is to support you through challenging times and to facilitate your inner transformation. As your therapist, I provide a mirror for your own reflection and an opportunity for self-discovery and personal growth.
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in art publishing for 20 years, as well as being a freelance illustrator, and these experiences have gifted me a deep understanding of the creative process and the often common tension in the balance between work and personal life.
I am comfortable in the world of conscious sexuality and psychedelic integration and welcome diversity among my clients in all its forms, including neurodiversity and cultural, gender and sexual diversity.

My approach is holistic and experiential, drawing from transpersonal psychotherapy, somatic therapy, attachment theory, shamanism, conscious relating, sacred sexuality, and neuroscience. I work with a broad range of life issues, incorporating a variety of methods, which may include embodiment practices, guided visualisation, parts and subpersonalities work, dream work and mindfulness, according to your needs.
More than any modalities we may be using, however, I believe that the most important aspect of our work together, and the key to bringing about the positive changes you may be seeking, is the relationship we get to build. The value of the therapeutic relationship is that it mirrors the relational struggles we may be experiencing in our lives, making us more aware of the patterns that are present within our relationships, and empowering us to change from within, as we learn to come into connection with ourselves and others.
The foundation of our work together is anchored in Psychosynthesis, a psychological model that combines body, mind and soul. In this perspective, times of difficulty and crisis are seen as a gateway for transformation and growth. The Psychosynthesis journey involves releasing the energy that can often be trapped in old patterns originating from our past, due to conditioning, which is keeping us stuck and stopping us from realising our true potential.
When working together, we begin by exploring the challenges you may be facing in a safe, supportive and confidential environment, taking note of the symptoms that are present for you, to find out what may be wanting to emerge from them.

Somatic Therapy
I offer talking therapy and counselling, which can be combined with somatic therapy, depending on your needs. Personally, I have found somatic work, which aims to connect body and mind to help regulate the nervous system, to be very effective.
When the body holds unprocessed memories, or trauma, it can be common to be stuck in chronic fight, flight, fawn or freeze response, which may affect our well-being, and cause a range of physical, relational and emotional issues, without us being aware of their roots.
One of our biggest challenges today is our reluctance to deeply connect to our inner experience through the body. From an early age, we learn to filter daily life through our mind, and we have forgotten how to attune to our bodies.
A somatic approach aims to reconnect us with our body as a source of wisdom and innate knowledge, and can help us to work through these issues, finding peace where there was struggle, as well as tapping into deeper layers of pleasure and joy. Our bodies are wise and always communicating to us.
We just have to learn how to listen.
Somatic therapy may not be for everyone but, if you are curious to try it, I’m here to support you to help you access your own inner wisdom.
